Nigeria’s U17 women’s team has named a 19-player squad for their crucial World Cup qualifying tie against South Africa.
Head coach Bankole Olowokeere has selected a balanced squad comprising three goalkeepers, five defenders, six midfielders, and five forwards. Among those included are Harmony Chidi of Imo Strikers and Bayelsa Queens’ Shakirat Moshood, both of whom have impressed in attack.

The Flamingos will travel for the first leg in South Africa on 8 March before hosting the return fixture at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on 15 March.
The winner of the two-legged contest will secure one of Africa’s three spots at this year’s U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
