Nigeria has reached a new milestone in electricity generation, with output hitting 6,003 megawatts, according to the Ministry of Power.
The development was confirmed in a statement by Bolaji Tunji, Special Adviser on Strategic Communication to the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.

During the same period, the country also recorded a peak generation evacuation of 5,801.84MW, alongside a daily maximum energy output of 128,370.75 megawatt-hours.
Mr Tunji attributed the achievement to ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s power infrastructure, including the rehabilitation of transmission and distribution networks, the adoption of new technologies, and policy reforms aimed at improving efficiency and accountability.
