Speaking during a media chat to mark his third year in office, Soludo said his call for Kanu’s release is intended to enable him to participate in broader discussions about the future of the Igbo people. He criticised Simon Ekpa, who claims to have taken over IPOB’s leadership, accusing him of turning the movement into a “killing spree” and attempting to exploit people for money.
