Former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has called on Nigerian youths to reject agents of division and embrace shared values in a period increasingly shaped by identity politics.
Speaking on Wednesday at the Lagos Leadership Summit 2025, organised by the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, Fashola stressed the need for inclusiveness and unity, urging leaders to give practical effect to the constitutional provisions promoting national cohesion.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who hosted the event, reaffirmed his commitment to transformative leadership through the THEMES PLUS agenda and encouraged young people to strive for excellence in every role they occupy.
Sanwo-Olu also presented ₦5 million cheques each to five winners of the Social Impact Award and noted that the academy had so far graduated 60 fellows, with 30 more currently in training.
