Nigerian pop star Davido has fuelled speculation that his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, may be preparing to defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The rumour, which has gained momentum in recent weeks, follows a private visit by both men to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos.

In a newly released track titled ‘From Umbrella to Broom’—a clear reference to a shift from the PDP to the APC—Davido suggests the move is intended to advance the state’s development.
The song highlights dissatisfaction with current conditions, calling for change and urging young people to support a new political direction ahead of the 2026 elections.
Contrastingly, the Osun State APC Chapter denies Governor Adeleke’s defection, accusing his administration of spreading false claims to mislead the public.
