Israeli Air Strikes Kill Dozens in Gaza as Ceasefire Talks Stall

Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have intensified, with at least 72 Palestinians reported killed, including several seeking humanitarian aid, amid stalled ceasefire negotiations and worsening shortages of fuel and food.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, an Israeli strike near an aid distribution point in Rafah killed five people, pushing the death toll near such locations to 838 since the conflict began.

In southern Gaza, nine were killed in a strike on a displacement camp in Khan Younis, while four more died in an air raid on a commercial centre in Bureij camp, central Gaza.

Israeli ground operations have also escalated in northern Gaza. Three Israeli soldiers were confirmed dead following a reported ambush in Gaza City.

Residential areas in Tuffah and Shujayea were heavily bombarded, with dozens more casualties reported.
