Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Wednesday led a National Assembly delegation to Daura, Katsina State, to condole with Governor Dikko Radda following the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Akpabio, who served under Buhari’s administration, described the late leader as a disciplined and humble patriot who served Nigeria with distinction both as a military head of state and a democratically elected president.

He recalled travel delays that disrupted the delegation’s initial journey, stressing their determination to return and pay tribute to a man he said gave everything for the country.
The Senate President also recounted persuading federal authorities to name the Faculty of Law at Dutsin-Ma after Buhari instead of himself.
Governor Radda, in response, reflected on his personal relationship with the late president, describing him as a principled and quietly inspiring figure who consistently championed justice and service.
