A coalition of 25 nations, including the UK, Canada, France, and Japan, has issued a joint statement urging an immediate end to the war in Gaza, describing the humanitarian situation as intolerable.
Published by the British government, the statement strongly criticised Israel’s restricted aid distribution system and the rising civilian death toll, particularly among those seeking food. It expressed alarm over the deaths of more than 800 Palestinians while attempting to access aid—80 of them on a single day, according to health officials in the Hamas-run enclave.
The signatories accused Israel’s government of obstructing aid flows and worsening instability, stating that its current approach violates international humanitarian law.
The statement marks a rare and coordinated rebuke of Israel from some of its closest Western allies.
