Social media activist Scott Iguma has accused the Nigeria Police of acting against the nation’s justice system, just days after securing bail from a Lagos State High Court.
Mr. Iguma was earlier remanded in custody following allegations he made online against real estate firm PWAN, which he accused of defrauding customers. He was granted ₦10 million bail on Monday.

In a video message posted on Thursday, Mr. Iguma expressed gratitude to supporters but sharply criticised the police, alleging they had been used as a tool to silence and intimidate him.
He claimed his recent experience reflects a broader trend of law enforcement acting with impunity, prioritising personal gain over justice and constitutional responsibility.
His remarks have intensified debate around police accountability, especially in cases involving whistleblowers and citizen activism in Nigeria’s digital space.
