English Women’s Super League side Everton have joined global tributes to Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their dramatic 3-2 victory over Morocco in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final.

In a social media post, the club shared a video of players congratulating their Nigerian teammate Toni Payne, who played a key role in the historic win. The triumph marks Nigeria’s tenth continental title — the most by any African side.

Payne, who joined Everton in mid-2025, made 22 league appearances last season, contributing one goal and five assists.
