The Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors, Sunday Oduntan, has assured Lagos residents that electricity will be restored daily by 5 p.m. during the 25-day maintenance of the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330kV power line.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria announced that the maintenance, which began on Monday 28 July, will cause intermittent power outages across parts of Lagos, mostly between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

Speaking in an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, Mr Oduntan appealed for public trust in the process and said the work had been thoroughly planned. He stated that, although he does not represent TCN, the Discos are confident that restoration targets will be met each day.
The Eko Electricity Distribution Company and Ikeja Electric had earlier informed customers of possible disruptions throughout the maintenance period, assuring them that efforts would be made to minimise inconvenience.
