FCC Pledges Swift Action on Retirees’ Outstanding Benefits

Lawyer Alleges Inhumane Treatment of Sowore in Police Custody

The Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Kayode Oladele, has pledged to fast-track the settlement of outstanding retirement benefits owed to the Commission’s former staff.

He gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by a delegation of retirees led by ex-Human Resources Director, Sunday Eteng, at the FCC headquarters in Abuja.

The visit comes shortly after 10 retired staff received long-awaited payments.

Mr. Oladele commended the retirees for their decades of service, acknowledging challenges in staff welfare and promising renewed focus.

He said the Commission is committed to doing the right thing, stressing that the welfare of both serving and retired staff will remain a top priority.
