The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has warned it will no longer tolerate unruly behaviour by passengers, promising strict sanctions under aviation laws.
In a statement on Monday, FAAN said disruptive conduct violates civil aviation rules and will attract penalties under ICAO Annex 17, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, and FAAN by-laws. Travellers were urged to familiarise themselves with passenger rights, airline obligations, and airport rules to avoid prosecution.

The agency is reviewing security protocols, including measures for restraining and prosecuting offenders. The warning follows an incident involving a passenger on an Ibom Air flight at Lagos airport, who was arrested and handed to police for investigation.
FAAN appealed for civility, stressing that the safety, security, and comfort of all airport users remain its priority.
