The Nigeria Police Force has extended the deadline for enforcing its Tinted Glass Permit requirement to 2 October 2025.
Police spokesman DCP Muyiwa Adejobi said the move followed a sharp rise in online applications, reflecting stronger public compliance. He noted the extension would allow thorough vetting of applicants to ensure permits are issued only to eligible individuals, in line with national security needs.
The Police will also use the extra time to refine both digital and physical verification processes to protect the system from abuse.

The Force appealed for continued cooperation as it seeks to balance convenience with robust security.
