Nigeria defender Zaidu Sanusi has rejected media claims he could snub the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Porto left-back assured the Nigeria Football Federation, manager Eric Chelle, and supporters of his full commitment to the Super Eagles, saying he is “100 percent available” for selection.

Sanusi has not played for Nigeria since starting in the 2023 Afcon final defeat to Ivory Coast. He returned to Porto with a serious knee injury, missing eight months before managing just six appearances this season.
Reports suggested he might prioritise regaining a club starting spot, but Sanusi insists he will answer any call-up.
With Coach Chelle favouring Bruno Onyemaechi and Ola Aina at left-back, the 22-cap international faces strong competition for a starting role at January’s tournament.
