President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced sweeping changes at the Nigerian Television Authority, appointing veteran media executive Rotimi Richard Pedro as Director-General.
Other key positions go to Karimah Bello as Executive Director of Marketing, Stella Din as Executive Director of News, and Sophia Essahmed as Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.

Mr Pedro, a Lagos-born lawyer and media entrepreneur, boasts nearly 30 years in broadcasting, sports rights and marketing across Africa, the UK and the Middle East. Founder of Optima Sports Management International in 1995, he has delivered top-tier content including the English Premier League and FIFA World Cup to over 40 African countries.
His track record spans Bloomberg Television Africa, Rapid Blue Format and consultancy for FIFA, UEFA and the African Union of Broadcasters, where he secured pan-African rights for CAF competitions.
