Israel’s military has escalated its assault on Gaza City, striking densely populated neighbourhoods and forcing tens of thousands of Palestinians to flee once more.
Heavy bombardments have pounded Zeitoun, Sabra, Remal and Tuffah, with the UN warning that plans to push civilians south will only deepen their suffering. Local reports say at least seven people died on Sunday when an Israeli air strike hit al-Ahli Arab Hospital.

Israel insists it will provide tents and equipment for those displaced, but aid agencies accuse it of genocide, citing 22 months of relentless war. Residents described chaos as artillery fire and air raids devastated entire districts.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, indicted by the International Criminal Court, maintains civilians are being directed to what he labelled as safe zones, despite repeated strikes on those areas. International condemnation of Israel’s actions is growing.
