NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman, Khalil Halilu, said the Kubwa station can convert up to 20 vehicles daily. He explained that the facility, which also serves as a training hub, will reduce costs, improve service quality, and support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for a sustainable economy.

Halilu added that NASENI has trained 30 engineers in CNG conversion and plans to replicate the centres across all 36 states and the FCT. The Managing Director of Portland Gas, Folajimi Mohammed, and the Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council, Oluwemimo Osanipin, also commended the initiative.
