The Nigerian Bar Association has condemned the assault on a corps member in Anambra State by security operatives and is demanding the prosecution of those responsible.
The victim, Jennifer Elobor, was beaten and stripped by members of a vigilante group in Oba, despite showing her NYSC identification card. A video of the incident sparked outrage nationwide.

NBA President Afam Osigwe said the act was a gross violation of her dignity and fundamental rights, describing it as “barbaric.” He welcomed the purported arrest of the culprits by the Anambra State Government but insisted they must be prosecuted.
The association also called for better training and reorientation of security operatives to prevent further abuses, promising to ensure justice for the victim.
