The Executive Chairperson of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area, Mrs Adetola Abubakar, has distributed 300 free General Certificate Examination forms to school leavers within the council.
The presentation, held at the council’s multipurpose hall, followed a screening exercise to select beneficiaries. Mrs Abubakar said the initiative was aimed at breaking barriers to education and ensuring equal opportunities for young people.

According to a council statement, the scheme is part of her administration’s wider commitment to inclusive governance, with education and youth empowerment placed at the centre of policy.
Mrs Abubakar, formerly Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, was elected council chair on the platform of the All Progressives Congress after securing over 42,000 votes in the last polls.
Officials say the scheme underlines her pledge to prioritise education as a driver of community progress.
