President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute their skills and resources to support national development.
He made the appeal during an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community in Japan on the sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
A statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, quoted the president as saying Nigeria is “rising again” under his leadership.

He listed improvements in passport services, upgraded healthcare infrastructure, and economic reforms as signs of progress.
President Tinubu told the audience that some Nigerians were already returning home, urging others not to “stay away” if they want to be part of the country’s growth.
He stressed that true citizenship goes beyond holding a passport and includes personal character and commitment to the nation.
The president also cautioned against negative portrayals of Nigeria abroad, saying they discourage investment and partnerships.
