Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the verge of signing Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche from Getafe after submitting a €20m bid. Negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage, with hopes that a deal could be completed in time for the 22-year-old to feature this weekend.
Transfer sources confirm Wolves have moved ahead of rivals Everton, Brentford and Real Sociedad, who had also shown strong interest. Everton were even tipped to table a higher bid earlier this month, but Wolves’ swift approach appears to have put them in pole position.

The Premier League side is preparing to agree personal terms once final details with Getafe are settled. The club is keen to strengthen its squad before the transfer window closes, and Uche’s arrival would mark a significant boost to Gary O’Neil’s options in midfield.
