Bayern Munich are in talks to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta after their move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson fell through.
The German champions had agreed a loan deal for Jackson with an option to buy, but Chelsea withdrew following an injury to Liam Delap, leaving the London side short of strikers.

Bayern have since approached Atalanta, proposing a substantial loan fee with the possibility of a permanent transfer. Lookman, who is yet to feature this season, is understood to be open to leaving Bergamo, having previously pushed for a move to Inter Milan.
With the transfer window closing within hours, his future could be decided quickly. The 26-year-old has been named in Nigeria’s squad for next month’s World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Rwanda, matches crucial to the Super Eagles’ campaign.
