The Federal Government says execution of the 2025 national budget will begin at the end of September, as the current fiscal year winds down. The announcement came from Budget Office Director-General Tanimu Yakubu at a citizens’ engagement forum in Abuja.
The ₦54.99 trillion spending plan, described as a ‘Budget of Restoration,’ is aimed at stimulating growth, improving services, and drawing investment into key sectors. Mr. Yakubu said transparency and citizen participation will be central to its delivery, with measures including simplified budget documents and translations into local languages.
