The Nigerian Army has confirmed the arrest of a key commander of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network. The suspect, Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, popularly known as Gentle de Yahoo, was captured by troops of the 34 Artillery Brigade in collaboration with other security agencies.
The military said Okorienta was arrested at his hideout in Aku-Ihube, Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State. A cache of weapons and other items were recovered during the raid.

Recovered arms included an English pistol, 120 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 25 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, a cartridge and six mobile phones. Security forces also found military and police uniforms and a German flag at the scene.
Troops further uncovered a workshop where stolen vehicles were dismantled for resale. Ten motorcycles found at the hideout were destroyed.
