Enyimba Football Club of Aba came from behind twice to defeat Bendel Insurance 3-2 in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday. Goals from Abiodun Joseph, Kalu Nweke and Chidera Michael sealed victory for the home side.
Insurance stunned the Aba crowd with an early goal in the second minute and restored their lead in the 59th minute, but Enyimba responded quickly through Nweke’s penalty before Michael struck the winner in the 69th minute.

The result lifted Enyimba to the top of the NPFL table with 11 points from five matches. The game was witnessed by Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, who also addressed the players in the dressing room at half-time.
Governor Otti praised the team’s resilience and thanked fans for their support. He also commended Bendel Insurance for their courage and sportsmanship, while saluting Enyimba’s coaching crew and board led by chairman Kanu Nwankwo.
