South African television host and media personality Nadia Nakai has said she will no longer date rappers or anyone in the entertainment industry. Speaking in an interview, she explained that her next relationship would remain private to shield her personal life from public scrutiny.
Nakai, who dated the late rapper AKA, reflected on the trauma of his killing in Durban in February 2023. She said the experience of dealing with grief under the glare of the public and the media was deeply painful and something she would not want to repeat.
