Flying Eagles Eye Colombia Test After Late Win Over Saudi Arabia

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles kept their hopes alive at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Chile with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Saudi Arabia on Friday. Goals from Nasiru Salihu and Amos Ochoche gave Nigeria the edge in a pulsating first half, before Saudi Arabia twice pulled level through Amar Al Yuhaybi and substitute Talal Haji.

The match was decided deep into stoppage time when captain Daniel Bameyi coolly converted a penalty, securing three vital points for Aliyu Zubairu’s side. The win lifted Nigeria to third place in their group, while Saudi Arabia crashed out of the tournament.
