Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold has been honoured with a street named after him in Lagos. The 38-year-old artist shared the moment on Instagram, where he, his wife Simi, and their daughter Deja unveiled the new signpost reading ‘Adekunle Kosoko Street’.
The singer described the recognition as a blessing and a powerful tribute to his roots. The honour holds special significance for Adekunle Gold, a descendant of the Kosoko royal family of Lagos Island.

His lineage traces back to Oba Kosoko, who ruled Lagos between 1845 and 1851, linking the celebrated musician’s success to a proud legacy of leadership and cultural heritage.
