The House of Representatives has sworn in three new members following recent bye-elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The new lawmakers are Omosede Gabriella Igbinedion representing Ovia Federal Constituency in Edo State, Rabiu Mukhtar of Garki/Babura Federal Constituency in Jigawa State, and Fidelix Joseph Bagudu who represents Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State. All of the All Progressives Congress.

They took the Oaths of Allegiance and Membership before the Deputy Clerk of the House, Mrs Kehinde Florence Amos, during Tuesday’s plenary.
The vacancies arose from the resignation of Rep. Dennis Idahosa, now Edo’s Deputy Governor, and the deaths of Reps. Isa Dogonyaro and Ekene Abubakar Adams. The House reaffirmed its commitment to full representation and strengthening democratic governance nationwide.
