Super Falcons striker Esther Okoronkwo has been named AFC Toronto’s Player of the Month for September. The Nigerian forward was recognised for her outstanding performances in the Canadian league.
Okoronkwo scored four goals and provided two assists in four league matches during the month. Her decisive form helped Toronto secure vital wins, including a 1–0 victory over Halifax, where she scored the match winner.

She also netted twice and assisted once in a 7–0 win over Vancouver, before scoring again in a 1–1 draw with Halifax in the reverse fixture. Okoronkwo ended the month by assisting the winning goal in another 1–0 triumph against Ottawa.
The 27-year-old’s consistent displays have cemented her status as one of AFC Toronto’s key players and a standout performer among Nigerian footballers abroad.
