Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will host the 2025 International Climate Change Summit focusing on Africa’s blue economy and coastal resilience. The two-day summit, scheduled for November 6–7 at the Lagos Continental Hotel, will convene global leaders, investors, and climate experts to discuss sustainable financing for ocean-based economies.
With the theme ‘Blue Economy, Green Money: Financing Africa’s Coastal Resilience and Ocean Innovation,’ the forum aims to galvanise investment in Africa’s coastal and ocean sectors ahead of the 2025 UN Climate Conference. Lagos, described as Africa’s fastest-growing coastal city, says it remains committed to driving climate innovation and resilience.

The 11th edition will also explore financing for ocean energy, sustainable fisheries, mangrove restoration, and green infrastructure, with participation from the World Bank, AfDB, and Eko Atlantic.
