The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, has launched a six-month nationwide revenue recovery programme in partnership with the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS. The exercise, tagged Engaged Consultants for the Revenue Recovery Exercise, was inaugurated in Abuja on Monday.
RMAFC Chairman, Mohammed Shehu, said the initiative is aimed at strengthening fiscal governance, plugging revenue leakages, and ensuring all recoverable funds are remitted into the federation account. He added that the exercise aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda to boost transparency and accountability in public finance.

FIRS Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, represented by Coordinating Director Shettima Tamadi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting the initiative, noting that collaboration between key revenue agencies would help bridge Nigeria’s fiscal gap and promote sustainable growth.
Secretary to the RMAFC, Joseph Okechukwu, urged the consultants to deliver measurable results within the set timeframe, while consultant representative Temitayo Ojeleke pledged transparency and professionalism in recovering the unremitted revenues.
