Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has clashed online with Shehu Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, after Shehu labelled President Bola Tinubu a drug baron.
The remark followed US President Donald Trump’s description of Nigeria as a disgraced country, a comment that provoked heated debate on social media under the hashtag DisgracedCountry.
Mr Abubakar defended the US President’s view, saying Nigerians had no moral ground to be offended after electing a man he alleged had links to drugs. His post quickly drew backlash from supporters of the president.

Responding on X, Seyi Law accused Shehu of hypocrisy, recalling that Atiku himself was once accused of money laundering in the United States. The comedian urged Nigerians to focus on rebuilding the nation rather than trading insults online.
