Satellite Images Reveal Suspected Mass Graves in Sudan’s El-Fasher After RSF Seizure

Fresh satellite images suggest mass burials have taken place in El-Fasher, Sudan’s Darfur region, following the city’s capture by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.

The Yale Humanitarian Research Lab, analysing imagery from Colorado-based Vantor, identified two suspected grave sites — one near a mosque close to the Saudi hospital, and another beside a former children’s hospital reportedly used as a prison.

The images appear to show trenches being dug and later covered, raising fears of widespread killings. Earlier photos showed what analysts described as corpses and blood stains visible from space.

Meanwhile, reports from El-Obeid indicate a drone strike on a funeral killed at least 40 people. The RSF denies involvement in the El-Fasher hospital killings, though video evidence and survivor accounts suggest otherwise as global condemnation mounts.
