The Alternative Bank says it is set to launch a non-interest agrifinance product aimed at empowering women and youth across Nigeria. Speaking at the Agriculture Summit Africa in Abuja, Executive Director Ms. Korede Demola-Adeniyi said the initiative forms part of efforts to promote inclusive and ethical agricultural growth.
Unlike conventional lending, the model is based on risk-sharing partnerships designed to ensure sustainability and fair returns. The bank has already rolled out empowerment projects in several states, including a tricycle scheme for women in Kano and a ginger pilot for female farmers in Kaduna.
