Nigeria’s Delta North senator Ned Nwoko has urged that his wife, actress Regina Daniels, enter rehabilitation to tackle alleged drug misuse and safeguard her health. The lawmaker told reporters the intervention was necessary to restore her wellbeing so she can care for their two young children.
He cited toxicology results he described as alarming and noted that a change in her behaviour — including bouts of aggression and recurring health crises — prompted his decision. Nwoko said the priority was ensuring she remains alive and healthy for their children’s sake.

The senator explained that medical professionals and security agencies would be involved in overseeing treatment and protecting the family’s welfare. The family has declined further public comment.
