Super Eagles Begin Camp in Morocco Ahead of World Cup Play-Off Against Gabon

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have opened camp in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of Thursday’s 2026 World Cup play-off semi-final against Gabon. As of early Monday, ten players had reported for duty, including captain William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Calvin Bassey.

Others in camp are Tolu Arokodare, Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem, Benjamin Fredericks, and Olakunle Olusegun. More players are expected to join in the coming hours as preparations intensify under the coaching crew.

The fixture against the Panthers will decide which side advances to the final round of the African play-offs. The winner will face either Cameroon or DR Congo for Africa’s lone spot in the intercontinental play-off scheduled for March 2026.
