President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving electricity supply and driving economic growth through the Siemens Power Project. He made the remark during a meeting with a Siemens Energy delegation led by Dietmar Siersdorfer, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The President emphasised that reliable power remains vital to Nigeria’s industrial, educational, and healthcare development. He directed an expansion of major transformer substations to strengthen grid stability nationwide.

Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu said the project has achieved key milestones, including the delivery of mobile substations and transformers adding nearly 1,000MW to the grid. He added that the Electricity Act 2023 and recent reforms have attracted over $2.2 billion in new investment and decentralised the power market.
