Popular Nigerian comedian Destalker has revealed that before his breakthrough in comedy, he once attempted internet fraud but failed. Speaking on the ‘In-house Gist’ podcast, he said a close friend who introduced him to the act is now a pastor.
Destalker recalled paying ₦250 for late-night sessions at a cyber café in Enugu, but instead of scamming people, he spent his time chatting with friends and family online. He said his inability to deceive others stemmed from a kind heart and a sense that it wasn’t his destiny.

Reflecting on his journey, the comedian noted that perseverance and self-belief carried him through industry challenges, adding that some who once blocked his chances are now “no longer relevant,” while his own career continues to grow.
