Major film‑industry guilds have handed down a verdict in the on‑set clash between actor Taye Arimoro and producer/actress Peggy Ovire.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) and Association of Movie Producers (AMP) declared Arimoro the main aggressor, saying he assaulted a production manager and a driver and later circulated a misleading video that wrongly implicated Ovire in the altercation.
As a result, Arimoro has been suspended indefinitely from all Nollywood productions. He is also required to issue a public apology, post a corrective video clarifying the real sequence of events, and return to set — under supervision — to finish two outstanding scenes.

Though cleared of instigating the fight, Ovire was not exonerated completely. She must write apology letters to the guilds and estate management, and submit a formal undertaking on behalf of her driver.
