A federal court in Abuja has scheduled January 22, 2026 for a ruling in the lawsuit filed by Nestoil Limited against eight Nigerian banks and African Export‑Import Bank (Afreximbank) over allegations connected to a receivership process and demands for the release of account statements.
The case involves a dispute over large-scale debt default and accompanying attempts by lenders to take control of Nestoil’s assets.
Nestoil is seeking injunctive relief while the banks argue for receivership enforcement, citing a multi-billion-dollar debt.
