At least 17 people have been killed and eight others injured in a coordinated attack on returning Internally Displaced Persons in Tse Ajogo village, Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State. The incident, which reported occurred on Wednesday, involved suspected Jukun militia.
Sources said the attackers invaded the village around 6 a.m., firing sporadically at residents and IDPs. Seven houses were set on fire, and several people remain unaccounted for following the assault.
The attack is the second in two months targeting returning IDPs in Tse Ajogo, a village located approximately four kilometres from Rafin Kada town. Observers described the community as highly vulnerable to militia incursions.

Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and report any suspicious movements.
