The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, says Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is not owed any salary, contrary to reports circulating in the media. He said the commission has been paying Chelle’s wages on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Mr Dikko spoke in an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, following claims that the NFF was owing the coach three months’ salary. He dismissed the reports as false and accused parts of the sporting media of spreading misinformation.

According to him, the payment of Chelle’s salary by the National Sports Commission is part of its support to the Nigeria Football Federation, even though the commission is not a party to the coach’s contract.
