President Bola Tinubu told labour leaders he is taking extra steps to address insecurity across Nigeria, the Nigeria Labour Congress says. The president made the comments during a meeting with union representatives in Abuja aimed at strengthening government action on crime and violence.

Labour has been protesting insecurity in many regions, including marches earlier this week in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory.
