PRP Calls for Suspension of New Tax Law Over Alleged Alterations

Court Allows Federal Government to Reopen Terrorism Case Linked to Bello Turji

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has called for the immediate suspension of Nigeria’s newly enacted tax laws, citing alleged unauthorised changes to bills passed by the National Assembly.

The party said such alterations undermine constitutional processes and called on the government to halt enforcement until discrepancies are resolved.

PRP also raised the possibility of impeachment proceedings if the president is found linked to the alleged changes, asserting that no one is above the law.

The calls follow public debate about differences between the versions passed by lawmakers and those later published in the official gazette.
