The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) has called for verification of recently contested tax laws. The institute made the call in a statement by its President, Innocent C. Ohagwa.
CITN said some provisions of the laws have raised concerns among tax professionals and businesses. It warned that unclear laws could affect compliance.
The institute urged the federal government to engage stakeholders and said consultations would help clarify contentious sections.
