Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has donated 65 Sports Utility Vehicles to traditional rulers across the state, describing the traditional institution as central to peace, stability and grassroots governance. The vehicles were presented to the royal fathers at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday.
The donation includes 60 new Prado Jeeps and five Land Cruisers. Governor Oborevwori said the gesture reflects his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance under the M.O.R.E Agenda, noting that traditional rulers serve as vital intermediaries between government and local communities, particularly in dispute resolution, peace building and security support.
