All burial activities earlier announced for late gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, also known as Omije Ojumi, have been cancelled due to unresolved family issues. The decision was announced on Sunday by members of the burial planning committee, following what was described as an internal family crisis.
Bunmi Akinnaanu died on January 12 after a prolonged illness linked to a severe leg ailment, a condition she had publicly spoken about while seeking prayers and support. Initial burial plans included a service of songs, candlelight procession and tribute night at the LTV 8 ground in Ikeja, Lagos, with a private interment scheduled for January 21.
