The Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported the incident at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, where another two bodies were found at a nearby residence believed to be linked to the attack.
Authorities said the suspected shooter was found dead with what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury, and there are no other known suspects at this time. Six victims were found inside the school, one died while being transported to the hospital, and two more were found dead at the related residence.
